Quest

Villager Species: Horse

Isabelle Davis (not to be confused with Clef), also known as Izzy or Isa, is a young human woman living in France in UV-00282.

Their hair is short and fluffy, a dark gray-black color. They have glittering green eyes, a large nose, and freckles splattered across their cheeks. They have a double chin, which is visible in some panels in PROLEGOMENON. Isabelle typically wears a green dress with translucent puffy shoulder sleeves, with white stockings and green pumps to match. They have two dangling earrings as well, one shaped like a star and the other a moon. A golden heart-shaped locket sits around their neck, with a picture of Cherry Thaxton inside.

Isabelle's Internet name is sheʼatʼééd ♡♪, though when the story begins Julio Diaz had changed their display name to 'the french one' as a joke. Their icon is a stylized music note, in a green color that has a hint of blue.

They get sucked into playing a mobile game with their friends in late 2020, leading to the events of PROLEGOMENON. Isabelle is one of the last players into the game, expressing their apprehension the entire way through.

PERSONALITY

Isabelle is very timid, hesitant to leap without looking, especially when the stakes are high. They're the most resistant to the idea of playing SEED when their friends are discussing the matter, and even after Dina Becher - the player before them - confirms it's in the game, Isabelle still needs to be prodded by Yua Matsuo into launching their game. Their interests and hobbies are very creative-oriented, with their primary way to spend time being to write songs on their violin. While these songs aren't anything impressive, they still upload these onto the Internet, thanks to the encouragement of their friends. Isabelle cares about their friends, paying attention to what they say and do in order to learn what they need and care for them.

They keep a handful of plants around in their bedroom, which they've named each one. Isabelle is also a vegetarian, and grows their own greens to use in their dishes. They collaborate with Jesse Lakatos on occasion when making music, guiding the latter through song composition. They're the biggest cheerleader for their friends, and hold onto all mementos of happy memories.

However, Isabelle is also strangled by anxiety on occasion. They're never certain about their next step, and act a little ditzy through the events of PROLEGOMENON, not quite understanding the situation or the stakes. They do still try to do their best, though, despite their confusion about the situation.

TIMELINE

Pre-PROLEGOMENON

Isabelle is the final child of three, born to their parents in the early months of 1998. Not long after their birth, their parents pass away in an accident, and custody of Isabelle and their siblings is shuffled between a handful of distant relatives who don't really want the responsibility of raising three little children. Finally, the house-hopping ends in their uncle's home, though separated from the other orphaned kids.

Their uncle was their father's kid brother, and he's a very free spirited hippie - he encourages Isabelle to focus on building their creative skills rather than their mental and social skills, both of the latter which end up taking a hit as a result. He's a very loving guardian, and while Isabelle still misses their parents, they move on over time.

When they're 13, their uncle signs them up for a pen-pal program to the United States, through which they get to know Jesse. Not long after the connection, Jesse adds Isabelle to the group chat at large, where they're introduced to Sofia Suaviter, a fellow musician. At bud's encouragement, Isabelle makes a website to host their music on, through which Cherry finds them and befriends them.

In late 2013, Isabelle and Cherry release a video game together, and also become romantically involved. While the relationship doesn't last too terribly long, they both still hold feelings about each other, even to present day.

RELATIONSHIPS

Cherry Thaxton

They used to be romantically involved when they were younger, though they broke up amicably not long after getting together. Both of their identities and genders have changed since then, and Isabelle realizes - distantly, but somewhere in there - that they still have feelings for Cherry, despite their best efforts to ignore their heart.

Cherry's talented and incapable of doing any wrong, in Isabelle's opinion. They're pleased that they're so important to mew.

Jesse Lakatos

Jesse was Isabelle's first proper friend, admittedly, though Isabelle was still well-liked among their peers. They find Jesse very interesting, always wondering what's happening in their mind. Jesse's a very talented guitarist, in their opinion, and they do embarrassingly find themselves fantasizing on occasion about... well, about things.

They don't have time to think about things like that. They're glad Jesse is their friend. That's all.

Sofia Suaviter

To be honest, Isabelle admires Sofia's confidence, especially when it comes to sharing bud's art and music. They dabble in the same artistic mediums, though on opposite ends - sure, they both make music and draw, but Isabelle's are all paintings and violin and bud's is... not that. Isabelle thinks that bud's extreme art is super cool, though!

After the events of Episode 3, Isabelle does side with Sofia, though very hesitantly and quietly. They feel bad for Sofia, but they aren't sure what to even do to help bud in bud's spiral. All they can do is sit and watch as bud blows up.

The Players

They care a lot about the other players, regardless of what they do to Isabelle or their friends, no matter what happens. They don't think anybody here is truly capable of malicious evil, and that they all mean well, even though things are confusing as PROLEGOMENON's events continue.

Isabelle's one of the few who tries to keep in touch with everyone after the events of Episode 3.

TRIVIA

Isabelle's a stereotypical Disney princess.

Their uncle is still in touch with them, and bought them their violin as a gift.

They love to snack on sunflower seeds more than anything in the world.
