Hedo, inheriting progeny of House Law, fourth child of Logo, Delegate of Union and Passion (as vaer full title states), is one of the players from the mimeo's session of SEED.

Vae has long, wavy dark red hair that vae keeps in a loose ponytail, tied back with a thin golden bow. Vaer eyes are a golden-orange color. Vae has very pale, off-white skin, with reddish feathers tipped with darker red-brown coloration. Vae wears a shoulderless darker red sweater, a light pink lacy skirt, and big, thick, heavy black boots.

When society collapses on Perdheigh due to the end of Delegates, Hedo and vaer associates play an unsanctioned game of SEED in order to escape the chaos.

PERSONALITY

Hedo has been groomed from birth to be the leader of Perdheigh's government after vaer parent, which kept vae from needing to compete for vaer Delegation like most other mimeans do. Vae acts very regal as a result, knowing what's expected of vae and keeping a level head even in the most stressful of situations. Vae is a strategist, educated thoroguhly in research and debate, and is a difficult foe to go against in a battle of words. Hedo's abilities don't make it any easier to argue with vaer, though vae refrains from using vaer abilities like that against people - vae feels it's unethical. Vae was Delegated early during the crisis, which led vae to mature earlier than vaer peers, leading to a big disconnect.

Vae still has a childish side, though vae never likes to show it. Vae keeps stickers secretly, in a locked drawer in vaer room, and a collection of plushies are stuffed in a box in vaer nest. Vae also has a passing interest in fashion, investing in fancy garb and expensive materials coming in from colonies in the universe.

TIMELINE

Pre-SEED

Hedo is born under Dika, the leader of the Perdheigh government, and Delegate of Clarity & Reason. Due to vaer relation, vae isn't raised like many other mimeans, immediately distancing vae from vaer peers from birth. Instead, vae is raised in the capitol, kept far away from outside influence for most of vaer life. When vae is about 18 years old, a small shift in society begins, leading to Dika putting the Crater of Alas under lockdown and snapping it off from the outside world. Not long after that, Delegates begin losing their abilities, and Dika is found guilty for knowing this was happening and hiding it from the people. As vae is executed by the people, Hedo is hurriedly Delegated - despite the waning powers of Delegates - and crowned as the new leader of Perdheigh, at only 19.

Immediately, Hedo decides to lower the walls around the Crater, which turns to be a massive mistake. Outside the Crater, a political ideaology had been forming around the group known as the Perdheigh Preservation Society (PPS), whose plan is to upload all citizen's consciousness into a supercomputer to stay 'alive' while the crisis passes. The theory is that, when the Delegate powers return, they'll be able to return to physical form in robots and have their abilities again. This idea roots into the society within the Crater before Hedo can act against it. When Hedo is 20, after ruling for barely a year, the PPS carry out their plan, committing a mass suicide leaving very few mimeans left in Perdheigh.

On the last day of Perdheigh, Hedo is contacted by Dolo. Somehow, she has a copy of SEED, and offers to let Hedo in on playing in order to escape from this hellscape. Hedo agrees to do so.

SEED

Upon entering vaer session of SEED, Hedo immediately discovers an issue with the game - the Light doesn't spawn correctly, there aren't any villagers nor enemies, Olivia and Albus aren't there... Vae also finds that vae has some Delegate powers back, though not as strong as vae used to be. Vae confers with vaer associates and confirm they're all seeing the same thing - this world is dead and silent.

Almost immediately, the party splits into two teams - one led by Hedo, and the other under Dolo's command. This session is stressful, as the lack of Light to claim means there isn't a win condition they can meet, but they also know that the session will inevitably be destroyed as that's an infallible failsafe. They need to find a way to break out of the game, and before the time limit is up. Hedo's opinion is to try to keep morale up by throwing parties, bringing people together, and communicating with vaer people. Vae's a very open leader, though vae forbids people from going to the computer after they already confirmed it isn't on. This is because - secretly - Hedo had gone back to investigate it alone, to see if vae could claim the Light immediately. However, the machine really wasn't working - and, on accident, Hedo breaks some part of the machine, which makes vae look guilty of vandalism.

As their time grows shorter, Plut begins pressing Hedo for permission to investigate the computer again. Hedo forbids it strictly - so strictly, vae uses vaer power to influence Plut into staying away, since ey won't stop pestering vaer. Through Apat, Hedo hears that Plut has plans to investigate the computer anyways.

Under Hedo's command, Comu makes a machine that - hypothetically - should take the party out of the game's universe, saving them. However, the portal explodes during testing, and Comu disappears through the portal. The team assumes ae have passed away, as there's no evidence of where ae went. After this, Hedo mourns for vaer friend, withdrawing for some time to be alone.Dolo starts pushing the idea of checking out the computer really hard after that, which Hedo barely has the energy to shove back against. Vae ignores Dolo's needling about the issues going on and how the machine might have a solution, and vae worries that others agree with her more than vaer.

However, not all hope is lost! Comu manages to get back in contact with Hedo, confirming that ae is alive and mostly okay. Ae has updated aer blueprint for that machine, and this time it won't blow up. Hedo has confidence in Comu's abilities, and is happy to see this bring morale back to the team. Vae orders vaer team to start working with Dolo's group to build the new portal, though before proper work begins on this matter, vae gets more information from Apat that Dolo's convinced Plut to go to the machine. Concerned, Hedo heads to the machine and catches Plut there, demanding to know what ey're doing. In a paranoid fit, Plut accuses Hedo of the worst thing one could do - sabotaging the machine on purpose. Hedo pleads with em and tries to convince em this isn't true, but Plut won't hear vaer out, and kills vaer.

RELATIONSHIPS

Apat

While knowing that Apat's mostly just desperate to be useful to anybody, and plays for both teams most of their time in SEED, Hedo still trusts Apat well enough to know that xey wouldn't lie to vaer. Vae has a kind of weird gay thing going on with xem but this is left unresolved due to vaer's early demise. Vae knows that Apat has dedicated xer whole heart to vaer.

It's kind of intense. Hedo kind of likes it though. They're kind of FWB.

Comu

Comu isn't exactly Hedo's friend at the start of their SEED game, but as time goes on and the two work together towards finding a way out of the world, they grow to be good friends. Hedo values Comu's advice, and thinks ae's pretty smart when ae want to be. Hedo's very affectionate of Comu, though mostly on a platonic level - though how vae expresses this is pretty affectionate.

Hedo was really, truly upset when vae thought Comu was dead. Vae did vaer best to hide vaer relief.

Dolo

Ugh. She pisses Hedo the fuck off, and she knows it, Hedo thinks. Vae knows that she loves to see vaer ruffled up and stumbling, especially as it ruins vaer polished image - but vae isn't going to let her pick at vaer. Vae's good at being levelheaded, even when an annoying fly is buzzing around vaer ear.

Vae thinks she's harmless, for the most part, despite being like that. They need to fuck their problems out TBH.

Plut

As the game of SEED goes on, they butt heads a lot more, as Hedo pushes against Plut's desires. Vae doesn't want em to find out vae broke the machine, and vae thinks ey're extremely nosy and annoying as well - almost worse than Dolo. Unlike her, fucking will not solve this issue.

In vaer last moments, all Hedo can feel is unending, deep, deep fucking rage at Plut for what ey've done.

TRIVIA

Hedo is named for Hedone, the Greek goddess of pleasure.

Hedo's pronouns indicate vaer social status - vae is the ruler of Perdheigh, so vae uses specialized pronouns.

Hedo is representative of the deadly sin, lust.
